FAQs

How will payments work?

Payments will be made directly to District via the online form or invoice.  Participants will be expected to follow the payment schedule as listed on the Payment Info page of this site. Invoices will be sent out to parents to make payment online. (Failure to keep up with the payments may result in your place being surrendered)

How does fundraising work?

Groups are free to arrange their own fundraising activities to contribute to funding their own participants.  There will not be any centrally organised fundraising activities.

What is the refund policy?

The initial deposit is not refundable, but if we are able to re-sell the place then we may be able to refund any additional payments made.

What meals will be included?

The first meal provided will be the evening meal when we arrive in the resort.  We will have breakfast at the hotel each morning and have an evening meal in the Disney Village. We will also provide breakfast on the return travel day with the aim of arriving back in Stockport for lunch time. Participants will purchase their own lunches during the day to provide flexibility for their visit to the park so will need to bring some money with them.

What will the weather be like?

We hope for great weather, but plan for it to be cold. It's likely to have frost in the mornings and it has even been known to have snow on the ground at this time of year.  Bring layers and a coat! We will of course book the sunshine if we can!

What hotel will we be staying in?

We are staying at a local hotel to the parks - the exact location will be announced nearer the time (they're subject to change at this stage). Room allocations will be sorted nearer the time, but expect roughly 5 people per room.

How will the young people be supervised?

Cubs and Scouts will be expected to go round with a leader at all times.  Explorers & Network may be given more independence when in the parks, going round in their small groups.  They will need to stick to regular check in times to meet with leaders for this arrangement to remain in place.  The Parks have lots of Cast Members (staff) on hand and each participant will receive details of an emergency number that leaders can be contacted on and the village has a high level of security on entrance and exits.  Whilst in the hotel, leaders will be allocated rooms to check on.

I am not that keen on rides what is there to do?

There are plenty of rides at Disney, not all of them are for tall people, Buzz Lightyear and It's A Small World to name but two.  There are lot of other things to do beyond the rides. The magic of Disney includes some amazing special effects shows, character meet and greets, parades and fireworks.

What restrictions are there for the rides?

This page has good information on height/age restrictions in one place but you can search the parks maps and find this information for each attraction too.
Disneyland Paris Height Restrictions • Mouse Travel Matters
